Observation

The Center continues to be understaffed and is not following the staff to child ratios again during the visit (5/31/22). The middle toddler room had 9 toddlers to 1 teacher (DM) This room is licensed for 8 toddlers. and the Preschool room had 12 preschoolers to 1 teacher (EJV). This room is licensed for 11 preschoolers. The front toddler room had 8 toddlers with (JAH who is not qualified to work alone). Mr Jose Bonilla and Mrs Adraina Bonilla and her infant were potentially in the front toddler room and the middle toddler room respectively. The license is still not approved for infants and the infant put the capacity over the limit of 29 and the issue of age grouping. A parent was called to pick up one of the other children. Direcor Bonilla and acting Program Supervisior Bonilla do not stay in their classrooms in which they are counted in the ratio as required. They went in and out for example when Mrs Bonilla was feeding her infant in the office or during meal prep and service or assisting the licensor or training new staff.
